Getting my car ready to finally bring out after a long winter and I noticed the trim on the C pillar pulled away from the body. Looks like it had been glued to the body. Anyone know how these were attached? My guess is probably some sort of clip and not adhesive. If it is glued, any suggestions?
There's is a clip about in the middle of the moulding with a stud on it that goes through a hole in the C pillar. A nut holds it in place. The problem is the nut is on the inside of the C pillar under the fabric.
That trim clip is non-existent in the aftermarket. I managed to have enough for my two 65 h/t's but they are tough to locate in usable condition. Also removing the interior trim and peeling the headliner back is a PITA without damaging anything. I'd definitely use the 3M double sided tape...
