65 turn signal wiring

So I purchased a new turn signal switch for my 65 and I was wondering if any of you guys knew where I could buy some of the metal contacts that connect the wires inside the plastic bulkhead connectors. I have a picture here of them on my new turn signal switch. I need more for the main wiring harness connection. Thanks for any help, guys!

I also have my turn signal switch from Daniel Stern.

BUT....I could not pull the cables incl. the metal contacts through the tiny steering column gap :sad6:

Had to cut them off and then crimped the cables together afterwards :sad5:

Hosehead - I don't know if you are using the original factory plastic connectors or not - I assume you are. You obviously need to buy the metal crimp contacts that are made for the particular plastic housing. I would ask the guy you bought the turn signal from, if he can direct you on where to go. Once you have the metal crimp contacts, please use the right tool to crimp them onto the wires. I sell this kind of stuff for living, and using a pair of common pliers to mash the contacts onto the wires does not work. Every metal contact has a crimp tool that assures you get a good crimp. Good crimp tools are expensive and usually available from the crimp manufacturer or their distributors. If you mash the crimp contact without the correct tool, any of the following can occur: you might deform it, so it does not fit into the plastic housing; you might damage the retaining features that enable the crimp contact to snap into the plastic housing and stay put; worst of all, you may get electrical contact for a while, but the wires could work themselves loose - or the crimp isn't good enough to keep electrical connection after a period of time. You don't want to be ripping into the harness in a year or two because of a bad wire crimp.

Wow, thanks for the info. I guess the next logical question is do you have the crimping tool for sale? You're right, I don't care to relive this nightmare anytime soon!

Looks like A383Wing's got you covered. I don't have the stuff from Delphi - I work for a different manufacturer. You shoulld be able to find what you need on that Mouser site.
