What is specifically different between the 2 years? I have seen post that say you can dremel on the 67 to make it work on 66. What has to be done? Working on a 67 car that may have a 66 column in it. Thanks

66 and 67 columns are different. the 67 is wider and is a collapsible column where 66's are not

Ok, but talking about the turn signal switch. What on it is different between years? How do you modify the 67 to work in a 66?

The column is small diameter in 66. The TS switch is a half round shape. The 66 switch is physically smaller.

So the 67 switch is too big around to fit inside the smaller column without modification. I don’t know what has to be done. I generally don’t cobble on cars I like.

Not my car and the 66 was chosen by owner for the chrome and condition. Not a stock car. Just trying to get light wiring figured out.

I dont have a 67 switch to compare it to . But this is the correct one for 66 ( not for sale )

Like mentioned the 67 switch ( shown ) is a tad bit larger. So IMO make sure what year column you have.
