Hello!
I seem to have eaten my Wheaties yesterday and somehow managed to snap the internal shifter cable for the console mounted automatic in my 69 Bee when putting it back together. Digging around the web, I've seen that the entire shifter mechanism is reproduced, though the only part I'm looking for is that cable and struggling to find who actually makes these to see if can contact the supplier and buy just that piece. Alternative would be trying to find the threaded end pieces and a way to swage a new cable though not finding a lot of options for doing that either. A good used original would be fine as well.
Does anyone have any idea on where a guy could get ahold of one of these cables or a solid way to fix it?
I am aware that I've got the earlier style shift knob- car had that in there when I bought it back in 2002 so while cannot say with certainty it came from the factory with it (12/68 build date), I plan to keep that style as prefer shiny and chrome.
Thanks!
