I had a 64 Sport Fury that I was building and had a complete 66 HEMI driveline in it. k member stock 66 engine and mounts TTI headers standard transmission etc.
everything bolted right in.
The 1962 to 1965 K member positions the engine forward by something like 1 1/2 inches so would require the off set mount if a later K member were used in an early car. Re the mount itself, the early dual cable shift tailshaft has a wider bolt pattern for the mount pad. The 1965 trans tail shaft was the first with the slip yoke but has the wider bolt pattern so this is why it is referred to as a one year only transmission, dual cable shift and wide bolt pattern slip yoke.
I suppose that if the newer K member is used with the offset mount, the drive shaft would be too long? Anybody know dimensions for sure?

I have converted several poly 318 62 - 64 Mopars to B or RB engines using the Schumaker kits. They have all worked well - none of them have failed and thats the main thing - no kick backs - just do the job without any issues
