While going through the old car I noticed a pretty big issue with the rear passenger side shackle mount on the frame rail.. What would be a good way to repair this. Driver side is good to go.. Just the passenger side is hosed.

Cut the skackle from the mount and install a replacement kit...as lomg as the new bushings are snug in the mount.

There is more to it than that. The hole in the frame is not supposed to be there and its egged our badly. But the frame looks pretty solid from what I can tell. I think I would try and get a larger round hole using a hole saw. You might have to tack a piece of metal in place over the hole. Then make a repair piece. You need a good fabricator. Otherwise you have to replace the rail from a donor.

Replace say 12" on both sides if necessary. precut hole for bushing tube. After welding plates weld in bushing tube. You might want to add scab plates at each end to re-enforce it.
This assumes the metal isn't to badly rusted thin.

Thanks, the metal seems to be pretty solid under the old Belle. I was looking at this to maybe fix the hole. Possibly weld the sleeve from this into the giant hole. But I know it would cook the bushing.I will have to press that out first. I need to take the shackles off and determine the correct size hole from the other side. I think scabbing on some new steel might work or I might just buy a new frame rail for that side. I know they sell just that rear most part. I think its called a spring mount perch.
