:sad:I would have had an extra grill last summer.I was on the freeway last summer ,when i saw a crushed 66 BVD wagon on it's way to the scrap yard. The grill was spotless.I was runnin beside trailer at 65 mph.I was on the clock(working),or I would have followed it to the yard.We lost a lot of old parts cars around here last summer when scrap metal prices were so high.
340RT, Those are the stories that tug at the heart strings...Does your Belvy have the full finish panel on the trunk? Lots of parts a guy like me needs. Wish I could find a sweety like that here. When I had my first 66 Satellite 28+ years ago, I too was driving down the hwy and passed a woman in a Belvedere II with mint trim. The car itself was pretty tuff. I turned around and followed her to a gas station and asked her if she would swap grilles and hood trim for my (good) pieces and cash (and lunch). She agreed! and in fact swapped the parts in the parking lot at the gas station!!! (it pays to have a tool kit in the trunk) Wish today I new where her Belvy wound up...
I live in Phoenix Arizona where it's been been in the mid to high 70's lately, so I was wondering what all of that white stuff is all over the ground is, looks like it might be a bitch to keep your vehicles clean there huh?:grin: Very Nice Belvedere you have there!
