Has anyone taken the gage cluster out of their dash on a 66-67 Charger?
like to hear how? screwed around on it all day and still don't have it out!

As a matter of fact...
Just rebuilt mine and got the EL working for the first time in who knows how many years. Just a few screws, the heater control knobs, and the radio to release it. I think the Charger Source Guide has a copy of the service manual instructions.

Looks cool! did you buy a kit or whole dash assy.?
 
If your dash pad is in place it will be a lot easier to get the dash all the way out if you remove the steering wheel.

Thanks. It really does look cool in the dark; the way the whole dash just glows. No, kit. I am not even sure if they sell one. I just took it out, bench tested the power pack and individual gauges, then, sent the bad gauges out of repair, cleaned it up, and put it back together. I did buy the repoped dash bezel, but if I had to do it over again I would stick with rechroming the original. The repoped unit must be a made in China piece of junk that needed a lot of modification to fit right...and still does not fit like the original.
