66 Charger Advice Needed

I am down to a hand full of things to finish on my 66. Looking for advice from those of you that have been there.
1. Rewire from front to back. This mess has to go!! Should I go with painless?
2. Going to install a Pertronix.
3. New springs on the rear
4. New carpet.
5. New overflow tank for radiator.
6. Gas tank filler tube/elbows

I look forward to any advice I can get.
Thanks
John

Painless is not meant for the Charger, no provision for the EL lighting, no provision for the rotating headlight wiring.....the Painless was meant for GM cars, the fuse box will not fit our firewall connector

fix what you got or buy new dash & body harness's

the rest of your list is simple, if it's bad or broken, replace it, all those parts are available new

Thank you A383. I was wondering about the rotating lights and the EL, I didn't see anything listed when I was looking at it.

Bryan,
Do you have any power packs made up now? I will be needing one in Feb/March when I get back out in the garage.

Keep an eye on ebay listings. Nice wiring harnesses come up from time to time in the $100-300 range. The other option is to repair what you have. If the plastic connectors are in good shape and the fuse box is intact you are half way there.

Let us know if you have any questions!

I would definitely save your pennies and buy new harness. Used harnesses are for sale on Ebay for a reason, normally they have been messed with. Year One sells the new harnesses, there are three total: dash, engine/forward light harness, and rear harness. I replaced all three in my 67 resto project, glad I did, no electrical issues...
