Can anyone confirm whether the front seal needs to have trim groove ? I purchased Precision brand part number WCRD671-B and it has a groove in it, doesn't the chrome trim clip onto the reveals only or does it also use the groove in seal ? thanks for the help :)

Old thread.
This is one of my Precision gaskets.
Second one.
It gets some better once the rubber is in.
What other can someone recommend.
I used Steele for the rear and it wasn't a great fit.
So I would like to find out before ordering one for the front.

As a vendor for both the Precision and Steele brands, I feel for your application that the Precision gasket is the best piece. At one time, Steele was the only provider for this gasket and they have a history of puckering in the area of the A-pillars. Additionally, the Precision gasket will be approximately 40% less expensive than the Steele gasket.

Mine did that in the same area but don't remember what brand it was. Not steel though.
