Hi guys,

could anyone tell me the correct english terms for these small metal modings of a 66 coronet? I need to search for them and it is easier to have the right names of these items.

Rather than typing it all out, here are two pages from my 1966 Factory Parts Book that lists all of the exterior trim that was used on a 1966 Coronet 500 2 door hardtop. This should give all of the information that you are asking for, as most of these parts are sold by part numbers as well as part descriptions, so you now have both. :)

If you press "control" and "+" at the same time on your computer, it should enlarge the pictures or page that you're looking at. When you're done, press "control" and "-" at the same time and it will reduce the pictures or page back to normal size. :)

Back in the 60's, they lived by the motto "if in doubt, CHROME IT" and the 1966 Coronet 500's have a BUNCH of chrome and polished trim on them, both inside and out and of course almost NONE of it is being reproduced! :(

As far as the rear tail light assemblies and trunk lid goes on a 66 Coronet 500, it has 4 pieces of trim on each tail light assembly and 4 pieces of trim on the trunk lid, plus the large finish panel. The back-up light lenses are also different on the 1966 Coronet 500's than on any other Coronet model produced in 1966, because the lenses on the 500 models are made to fit into the square openings on the finish panel, where as all of the other models have separate back-up lamp housings that bolt into the trunk lid and have slightly different shaped lenses. While different companies are reproducing the housings and lenses for all of the 66 Coronet models EXCEPT the 500's, no one is making the ones for the 500 miodels. :(.

Welcome to life with a 1966 Coronet 500! I tell ya, we don't get NO respect!
