Steering column

Hey Johnny, The Column's should be all the same between 66-67, as long as it's for the correct steering box, manual or power. I hope this make's thing's a little clearer for you.

Major difference is the 67 is supposed to be a collapsible column. I have a 67 that's out of the car if you want to double check the length...

Isn't the 66 narrower (smaller in diameter)?

Correct - the '67 column is collapsible, has a bigger diameter and the bracket that sandwiches it to the dash is entirely different.
