I will try that. Car has console shifter, and I did try wiggling shifter handle. But I will check lever action at the trans lever adjuster. If you have a floor shifter make sure it's adjusted properly.
Another pretty easy way to ensure it's the switch is disconnect the linkage right at the shift lever and move the lever manually.
I'm pretty sure A&A TRANS in Indiana still has them.... and
John Cope may too. Both good places to ASK anyway. ALSO, rare issue, but did you check the comb inside the trans to make sure there's no problem there??
I’ll have to look into that as well if linkage adjust won’t make solid switch action. Thank youI'm pretty sure A&A TRANS in Indiana still has them.... and

Was your switch working and quit or have you made some changes?
Very carefully I might add, like with the back wheels off the groundHave you manually applied a ground to your starter relay ground post to make sure its working properly?
Yes. Fires up everytime with neutral switch jumped out. Thanks for the tip.Have you manually applied a ground to your starter relay ground post to make sure its working properly?
Excellent tip. You got me thinking while waiting for a new switch. I put a multimeter on resistance tone on the switch connector and tried to adjust shifter rod at the tranny lever, and got the intermittent tone wiggling the linkage. Then noticed the shift rod is rubbing the transmission cooler line. Now do I still have a bad switch, or is the switch barely making contact on the lever inside the tranny. I have to drop the pan to replace leaking gasket anyway, so I'll get a better look at what's going on inside. If you have a floor shifter make sure it's adjusted properly.
