Hi guys, can you please tell me are the front turn signal lights on a 66 Satellite a dual filament bulb that light up as a sidelight
66 Satellite day of purchase.jpg
when the light knob is pulled out one click? I'm talking the 2 inner round lights in the front grill as per the attached photo.
At the moment the only time they light up is as flashers (and only the passenger side works). When I pull the light knob out one click the rear lights come on but nothing at the front. The fronts only come on with the second click (and then work ok as low / high beam).
I can't get the bulbs out to have a look - do they pull out from the rear or through the front? They don't pull from the back - it's like they're welded in there, and when I remove the 3 screws holding the front cover in I can't seem to get the lens out and I don't want to crack it trying to prise it out. The factory FSM doesn't seem to help me.
Thanks

Your gasket is stuck to the lens-pull harder. The parking/turn lamps do have two filaments and should illuminate at one notch out on the headlamp switch. Bulbs come out the front.

The clear lenses come out from the front try a small pick. The sockets are swaged (peened) in place. The bulbs may be original, yes they can be hard to remove. Try some penetrating oil on the brass/metal base. You have to press in and then counter clockwise to get the bulb out. If you still have trouble then break the bulb glass, then grab the metal with a small pair of needle nose pliers and carefully get that sucker to loose.
You can get new lenses try Van's auto, they aren't too expensive $58. The bulb is an 1157A. (The A is amber or yellow)
By the way they are called parking/turn signal indicators.
