I was wondering if anyone has purchased a new Engine/Forward wiring harness from Year One for a 66 or 67, modified for electronic ignition? I'd like to order one for my 66 with a 440. They list 2, all V-8s except Hemi and Hemi. The listings both has an asterisk saying that the terminals are for 318s. I called to find out the differences but couldn't get a definite answer other than one is for a Hemi. I said "but isn't a 440 close to a Hemi, dist. in the front etc".? The answer I got was, no, it's not a Hemi. Has anyone bought one and which one did you get?

The engine wiring harness is different for a hemi in 66. For my 66 I bought the one for a 383 with electronic ignition and electronic regulator from year one and it fit great with a 440.

I just recently ordered an engine harness for my 67 Belvedere wagon, from Bill and Rose Evans at Evans wiring, and requested that it be custom made with the wiring for the electronic ignition control box to be in the harness along with the horn wiring and for that wiring to extend about 8" beyond the horn wiring so that the box could be mounted on the radiator core support under the horns. They made the harness and shipped it out the next day! I was impressed.
I phoned in my order and told them verbally make, model, engine and other details and they sent the correct harness. They could probably tell you how the Hemi harness differs.

The hemi harness is different because the horn and starter relay are on the left side inner fender and not under the bulkhead. Not sure why they couldn't answer that. I got my harness from my parts guy but I have no idea where he gets them from.

I would call M & H and talk to them about what you are needing.

M&H is far better than Evans offerings. Yes pricy but work as advertised. I purchased one from Year One along with the harness for the lights and turn signals and it worked flawlessly. Their tech dept is top notch as well....Why eat Hamburger when you can eat the whole steak. Same applies to Year Ones offering verses the others...

I went to M&H website and they won't sell directly to any retail customers, they refer you to Year One. That's where I'll be buying it. thanks everyone for all the imput.

You obviously have never purchsed a 70 B Body ralley dash harness from them .

Totally wrong colors , 43 extra plugs I didnt need and would never need . None of the plugs i did need were color coded correctly . Customer service sucked trying to lay under my dash and get correct info from them to plug stuff up . They wouldnt send a schmatic as they were afraid you might sell it off or make your own harneses . I still have stuff that doesnt work or is not plugged it .

That being said my 69 Ralley dash harness from them was awesome and very correct in every way ..

My engine harnesses and head light harnesses I have gotten from evans are awesome and plus they build in the factory ELectronic ignition if you want them . My two cents

yup year one is the exclusive distributor and H & M the exclusive builder of dash harnesses . So if you buy a dash harness else where that supplier bought it from years one and marked it up yet again .
