67' Beleveder Column Shift 727 Trans 440 Engine

Scrounging around for parts for the eventual engine swap, from the 318 engine and 904 trans. My question is will the manual shift linkage work, from the old 318 ? I have a torque shaft and the link that goes to the shift lever from a Newport. Will either one of these parts work, or am I going to have to find B body specific parts ? Throttle linkage. I'm pretty sure the original won't work. So I picked up a setup from a 78' 440. Will this work ?

I can kinda help. I used orig. throttle & trans linkage when going from 383 to 440. I'm guessing Newport would be more favorable of the two.I would think extra length comes in front of engine& rear is after the trans.?

I'm surprised your throttle pressure link fit, as the 440 is taller than the 383. But thanks for your input. I guess I will get some answers, when I finally put this assembly together.

On the shift linkage the column rod, frame bracket and trans rod will work from the 318 904 but the trans bracket and torque shaft will not work from the SB 904 to the BB 727 . The C-Body shift linkage pieces will not work correctly for a B-Body. On the throttle pressure linkage it may work depending on what model car/truck it came from if you use the complete set including the trans lever and throttle bracket but you most likely will run into firewall clearance issues especially if it is a single rod type from a C-Body or truck. I do have a correct 67 B-body 3-piece type 440 4bbl throttle pressure and column automatic 727 trans linkage set message me if your interested

Auggie remember the threaded rod on throttle press. linkage? It gave me enuf leeway.
