I have a 67 plymouth belvedere II with a 273 and my father-in-law said I can take his 383 when he gets done with his 440 for his 67 charger. he does not think that I will have to change the K member but I think were going to have to. So my question is will I need to change my K member to go from a 273-383. Thanks for you time.

The k member does not need to be changed but the transmission will.

trying not to hijack thread but ran acrossed and have a similar question, mine is a 318 poly car and i want to put a 383 in it...same kmember? special adapter motor mounts? or? thanks.

This is what I have been told. V-8 k frame is the same for a big block. Transmission support for a 727 is the same for a 4 speed. Use motor mounts for a big block. BB motor mounts are all the same.

My very first engine swap was a 66 Belvedere with the poly 318 to a 383. NO K-frame swap...just the correct brackets are needed to fit the block.
