Hey, new here!

I picked up a '67 Belvedere II mega project the other day. I have a few questions;

Its got high back bucket seats in it that I know aren't original, but I dont know if it was buckets or a bench. Does anyone have pics of what should be in there? Were they even available with buckets? I've seen a few picks were it looks like kind of buckets with and arm rest in the middle.

Is there a good resource for reman parts for these! The car has no grill or front bumper. In wouldn't mind GTX parts if thats whats available. I've been out of the loop since I had the Charger.

vin# RH23F75###### (I think the below is correct?)

R = Belvedere
H = Signed / Belvedere II / Sport Fury
23 - 2 door Hardtop Coupe
F - 318 V8
7 = 1967
5 - Los Angeles, CA.

Thanks for any help.

Hopefully this 440 thats been swapped in will come to life! Needs quite a bit of cleanup though, and the oil pan doesnt look good. Dented in about 1/2".

You would be best off locating used parts to replace what's missing.But then again,what level of resto do you have in mind??I suggest building it the way you see it:pimp:

I mean surface rust, yea - but the car doesn't look like it has that much cancer.

At least you have a good starting block with the 440. If it doesn't come to life, rip it out and do it nice!

Good luck with that. Cool car.

ya, there's no rust spots (flaking, holes, cancer) in the wheel wells or anywhere, and just surface everywhere else. The body is pretty straight, and no one has used the roof as a trampoline.

Any idea what missing on the grill? is it just the actual grill and headlight bezels? or is there a filler between the grill and bumper?

for the seats, I'd prefer the low-back bucket style with the center arm rest. I guess I need to find a complete on to look at.

I got you a grill if you need one...Just getting ready to put it on ebay..Just sold a couple of driverside tail lens..No valance...I,ll take 75 bucks plus shipping for the grill..If you are interested in pics pm me...

All Belvedere II's came from the factory with bench seats. If you wanted buckets you had to get a Satellite or GTX.

I have a couple of 66's and I've been lucky with finding good used parts at swap meets. Sounds like you already have a grille in the works.

Looks like a great project car.

engine wouldn't crank or turn manually, so I pulled it out. I forgot how easy these things are to work on. little over an hour to yank.

You can see the cap jammed up in the opposite cylinder.

so now, exploring my options. Checking craigslist for a running one. Full rebuild isnt $$$ possible right now.

I think the fender tag will tell if it had buckets. Bench is more likely but not absolute. Try the 66-67 charger registry for a tag decoder.

No fender tag, the screws are there, but the tag is gone.

Well I picked up another 440 today. Its a 1978 block out of a motorhome. Supposedly 54k miles on it. So now I'm going to get a new pan, pickup, and dipstick, then put it in and see how the trans is.

Am I missing anything else?
Bumper & Brackets
valance
grill & bezels

Is there anything below or behind the bumper?
