Hey everyone I have a question about getting a new battery for my 67 charger. So I was told I need to get one with at least 650 cold crank amps, and that it would probably be group 24 or 27. Now I went to O'Reilly's to check if they carried one and they showed me one that was in group 34 with 750 cold crank amps, and I just wanted to make sure that it will work and that it's not too much since I'm incredibly new to all this stuff.

Gotcha. So if I'm understanding things correctly battery groups are about the dimensions of the battery then?

Your battery tray will hold up to a Group 27, which is not much more money than smaller Group 24. Beware of Group 27F, which is for Ford, and have Positive and Negative posts reversed. You could dress up your battery to look more original, using Weskcar cap and decal kit. I know they fit Walmart batteries.
