We have a 67 Coronet and when we got it the hood letters were filled in with weld. We got a fiberglass aar hood with a wo23 scoop. (Thanks gnxjohn!) The hood was already drilled for the hood letters but when we went to install them the pins didn't line up. I popped on a set of 66 hood letters and they fit perfectly. I searched the site and found a posting that said that the 66 and 67 hood letters will interchange because other than the cosmetic differences the mounting pins are the same. I want to make sure this is correct. The letters have the recessed black centers but we are not sure if they are for the hood or the trunk. The part #s are D: 2582459 O:2582460. D 2582461. G: 2582462 E: 2582463. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't know what the numbers are for the letters but these are what the letters look like the top ones of the hood on the bottom ones are for the trunk

Thanks badmopar67. Our letters look like the top ones. Does anyone know if the pins on the letters for 66 and 67 are in different locations? I forgot to mention our car has an r/t tail panel so the letters would be mounted above the tail panel. I still believe we have a set of trunk letters. We want the correct ones back on the car as we are getting tired of idiots referring to our car as a Chevy r/t.

That answers my question. We have a set of 67 trunk letters and will need to find a set of hood letters. I'm glad I won't have to fill and redrill our glass hood. Thanks for the help.
