67 gtx engine color choise dilemma.

Ready to paint my new 493 with aluminum heads. Can't desiderate what color to paint this motor, correct 67 turquoise, or bad *** black? any and all suggestions welcome, thanks guys.

My brother recently put a 572 hemi in a 70 charger, black with aliminum& chrome and some red accents. Looked very sweet. Either way would look good.

No NOT paint the block black,the top end stays aluminum!

I would cover any raw aluminum in some coating. Paint, powder, something..........

I did my 67 hemi block in black....I like it because the original color would clash with my non stock color

engine color choice..

It all depends on the look your trying to achieve. My 67 r/t is painted factory turquoise but hiding aluminum water pump and housing, aluminum intake with 750 Holley under stock air cleaner, pertronic 3 hidden in stock distributor and comp cam. I like the stealth look. But also like black! Good luck with your new engine.

The turquoise does not really go with anything. I would use it if you are trying to maintain an original look, but otherwise go with whatever you like. Black and aluminum always looks good.
