:plane::plane: _DSC7078.jpgHI , MY GTX IS MISSING ITS STRIPES, ACORDING TO THE FENDER TAG, IT SHOULD HAVE "BLACK RACING STRIPES".UBS CODE "B" THE CAR IS MONOTONE WHITE CODE WW1, LOOKS LIKE THE NOSE WAS REPAINTED BACK IT THE EARLY 70'S . I CAN NOT FIND ANY INDICATION THAT THERE WERE STRIPES ON THE REST OFF THE CAR???
IS IT POSSIBLE THE CAR CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITHOUT THE STRIPES EVENTHOUGH THE FENDER TAG SHOWS THE STRIPE CODE "B"?
ANYWAY WHAT THIS ALL COMES DOWN TO IS I WANT TO PUT THE STRIPES BACK ON THE CAR AND NEED TO KNOW THE WIDTH OF THE FACTORY STRIPES , I DONT HAVE OR KNOW ANYONE LOCAL WHO HAS A 67 GTX THAT I COULD MESSURE
SO COULD SOMEONE PLEASE MESSURE THERE GTX STRIPES AND DROP ME A REPLY , I WOULD APPRECIATE IT THANKS AGAIN MOPAR BROTHERS & SISTERS. :sFl_america2:

if no stripes from the factory the build sheet and maybe the fendertag would be coded "stripe delete"...they did go that way

These pics will give you the proper measurements off original stripes..I saved these pics in my reference collection, others might want to do the same in case site gets deleted as it is valuable information. Thanks to Clark Classic Restoration for posting on their site. I have seen their work in person and it is first rate...

The 67 GTX stripe code is not under the UBS code. If you are seeing U/B, that means the inner upper door panel was painted black to go with, say, a P6X interior. There should be nothing under the S code.

What is under the PNT code?

67 GTX stripes were optional, not standard, so Stripe Delete would not apply.

Funny how things play out. I'm the guy that took those pictures several years ago when I was was managing the body shop there. The fellow that did the body work and paint on that car now works for me. The owner is a pilot who lived in New York state.

If you removed the window trim and lifted the rubber trim, you'd likely find the stripes. As shown in the link, they were painted before the window was installed so they go in all the way.

Thanks for the great pics... You have probably helped more people with the pics you took then you know...they were helpful to me numerous times...

I'm happy to know that. Seeing as how that site has not been updated for at least 2 years I don't know how much longer it will exist. I would bet that a majority of the pictures were taken by me. If you see anything else that would be a valuable reference you had better get it while you can.
I'm building a large collection of pictures of my projects for my own reference, some of which will be on my website.

On my GTX the stripe was under the seal, no paint. They were decals, I am curious.

Why sure, here you go. www.barrsrestoration.com
My site was activated just a couple of weeks ago, and not all of the cars are on it yet. So I still have lots (two years worth) to add. The site you linked has almost ten years of my work on it, but it's not my site. For several years it was just me doing the bodies, so a majority of it is my work.
