67 headrests - height adjust notches on posts (front or rear)

I would like to verify the location of the headrest height adjustment notches on 67 B-body headrests. Are they on the front or rear (facing) side of the rods?

From what I can gather, the adjustment notches are located on the rear facing side of the mounting rods.

My real question is where the headrest height adjustment retaining clip and associated plastic bushing for locating mounting rod(s) are located in the seat back frame.

Note - these parts are from PG Classic's 67 headrest installation kit (which appear to be very accurate part reproductions).

Took my seat back off, couldn’t really see much. The notches on the head rest rods face the back seat. Hope this helps.
