Hi Guys,

I just bought another mopar project/orphan, a '68 2-door Coronet. Surprisingly rust-free alas it has basically no interior. I have a line on a '67 4-door that looks to be pretty complete. My question is, aside from the door panels, will the rest bolt in ok? I'm looking at building a "driver" not a concours ride. Allpar mentions that there was a "major" re-styling between '67 and '68 but doesn't really provide specifics. Thanks...

Welcome. Unfortunately, virtually nothing will work from the 67 to the 68. You could bolt the front seat in, but it isn't set up to fold forward for access to the rear seat.

The carpet, A pillar and windshield molding, and top of back seat are all that come to mind as working between 2 and 4 door models, unless you are counting the dash.

I'm pretty sure the A pillar moldings won't work. Also, the windshield in a 4 door is taller than on a 2 door. So at the very least, the sides of the windshield stainless won't work

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the info. 69 Runner you're right about the need for a split-bench seat vs. the 4-door single back but I was not aware as YY1 pointed out that the windshield was taller (plus the A-pillars etc.) on the 4-door vs. 2 door. Definitely makes me pause about this plan of attack even though the price is right...
