what casters should i be looking for to use when building a car rack? 1000# each? I'm just not sure on casters. Do I want rubber, or hard plastic casters? Also, how big of square tubing should I use? where on the b-bodies is the best place to mount the 1/2 racks? I seen some built where they are separate and one goes in the front, while one mounts more towards the back. Any one have plans of how to build such a unit? just trying to get ideas, thanks guys!

not plastic, doubtful on the rubber...I think metal casters would be best

ALL DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU PLAN ON USING IT aka what surfaces your gonna use the cart on!! If it's only gonna see cement then steel would be fine or hard plastic ! If your like me and have to push on gravel use pneumatic tire type they are spendy but work great !! Also I would use 2" square tubbing !:icon_thumright:

thanks for the replies. It will be used inside on the cement shop floor. I am trying to figure out how much weight each needs to be set up for, and best place to buy them. thanks

these are some of them that are made by different companies you could use there ideas or give you an idea of your own build some times you can find some used ones at a good price

I've built like 5 Body carts so far, don't use Air filled tires, they're junk, and give way too much on deflection. Use some hard rubber ones if you have to go on some outside not super smooth driveway, if not, steel is perfect. I make mine steer from the back -- under the most weight, place pins into the rear frame rails, front just rests on it.
