68-70 Rallye dash glovbox lid question.

How can I remove the glove box lock on a rallye dash glove box ? I removed the 2 screws from the back and it is loose now but the front chrome bezel is to big to fit through the palstic part of the glove box.
Any one done this ?

WOW....i just got done doing this. put the key in the cylinder and wiggle it and turn it until it comes out. the hard part is putting it back in....put the key in the cylinder and turn it until it clicks back in. it took me FOREVER to get it back in but it came out no prob. you are just going to have to F&*k with it until you get it....be patient...it will go ! i just answered your paint the dash question too in that thread !

ok,,,then do this......get a hacksaw and a cutting torch...........:buffer:...and a few chisles....it'll:hello2: come right out !
