68 charger bezel switch cover

Was just wondering what the switch below the fuel gauge is for on a 68 dodge charger is for and if i don't need it does anyone make a cover for it. Thanks

Optional rear window defrost.Have the switch in mine also, as I don,t have the blank cover.
