68 CHARGER GRILLE CHROME FASTENERS

Currently restoring the grille on my 68, i purchased the fastener kit for the two long horizontal chrome trim pieced and the corner "C " pieces. The kit came with longer threaded studs as well as shorter studs. Can anybody tell me the location of these as well as the 8 flex tabs. The kit came with 11 long and 11 short studs , therefore it's not obvious were they go .

I just asked the same question last week. Someone sent pictures, that will help. I can take pictures tomorrow, but it turns out my $65 hardware kit is wrong. It doesn't have the correct short studs used in the center strip fastener.

I'm at that point also, where did you guys buy the kit ???

I bought mine from vansautollc. It did not come with the short studs for the center as well.

Mine was same place, same problem.

Instead of finding another kit I modified mine by shortening 2 of the extra long ones. Maybe that's what you're supposed to do with the extra long ones. I don't know but I was able to get it to work.
