Hey guys,
I've been working on fixing a power steering leak on my charger and some run into some problems that I'm hoping someone can help with. I have a federal style power steering pump. The high pressure hose is leaking and needs to be replaced but I'm finding troubles finding one that fits the fitting on the steering box.
The attached picture is of my current fitting that goes into the steering box. The top portion is an inverted flare that is 7/16"-20. The bottom portion that goes into the steering box is 1/2"-20. The new pressure hose I have needs a 1/2"-20 inverted flare fitting. I thought it would be easy to locate a fitting with both ends being 1/2"-20 but I've had no luck. I've also had no luck finding a different pressure hose that will work with my current fitting.
I either have to find a new fitting or find a different pressure hose. I've looked just about everywhere: Summit, Jegs, Rock Auto, Classic Industries, Year One, 440 Source and Mancini. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Clayton
