You have to actually type out the VIN. A Google search will not find the VIN from that picture.

The year: 1978
The situation: I'm going to look at a used car
The car: '70 Challenger, 383 auto console, burnt orange/burnt orange. Running, no rust, no obvious issues.

The conversation went something like this:
Dad: "Son, where are you going?"
Me: "I'm going back to look at a used car and give the guy a deposit."
Dad: "What is it, what year, does it have any issues and HOW MUCH?"
Me: "Real nice '70 Challenger. No rust, no dents, starts right up and doesn't leak. $800."
Dad: "How much???? No 18 year old son of mine is going to pay $800 for an 8 year old car!!!"

$3K for that pile? My dad would roll over in his grave!

I got that when I was young. We couldnt afford a new car. But my dad thought it was more practical to drive a shitbox little Gremlin car. For 500 bucks. Which I did. But traded a week later at a dealer ship for a Used 67 Blue GTX. $1500 difference I had to pay.
