68 Charger rear deck panel R&R

I bought one of these from AMD.

Anyways, I have the back glass out and ready to begin hacking metal. My car has rust threw in the window channel and corners, Should I try and remove the whole panel or cut the replacement and graft it in just in front of the trunk opening. help....

Most will tell you to replace the whole piece. Just a heads up though. That part will be about 3/16" to narrow on you Charger. When replacing mine, we flattened the left side out and rebent it in the correct spot in my sheet metal brake. One of the not so good panels from AMD. I posted pictures of it in my thread 'Charger resurrection'.
