My Coronet had an aftermarket antenna on it. One of the members here sent me a bag of antenna parts off another 68.
The chrome bezel seems way to big to fit in the fender hole. I have had to open up all the openings after the paint job but this seems really excessive.

Anyone have a photo of a factory bezel and the fender hole so I can try to see what is going on?

Also there is a large alignment ring that fits into the hole on one edge. Does that ring face the hood or the outside edge of the fender (there are 2 small alignment features that force the ring in one direction or 180 degree rotated).

Thanks

Ok, I looked through all my pictures and all I could find is this crusty one. Not sure this will help you. The chrome top flange sits in the hole has very slight angle to follow the fender. The serrated top nut screws into the antenna threads below fender. Also a rocker is sandwiched between the fender and the antenna.

Thanks. I did more searching and believe the bezel is a factory one so I guess it is time to get the dremel tool out and start working on opening up the hole in the fender.
