I went to start up my R/T today to let it run for a while and when I opened the door the lights came on but were a bit dim and the car would not start, nothing. I put a charger on it in the Engine start position and after about 5 minutes i attempted to start it and it sounded like an impact wrench like sound or clicking. I have had the charger on for about 3 hours and it is the same sound after starting.

Any thoughts?

I appreciate your input

take your battery over to a big-chain auto store and have them test it. it's pretty quick and most places do it for free.

i did that with the battery in my 66 Coronet.

after a week or more of not driving it I jumped in the car, drove five minutes to the nearest gas station to toss in some gas. when i went to fire it up i just heard "click".

my battery tested ok and just needed a full charging. i start up the car and run it just about every other day now.

with a constant clicking it might be something else though.

now, post some pics of that coronet and VIPER ACR!?!?!!!!

Well, I found the problem. IT was a combination Starter and Battery. The new starter works great and the battery really turns over now.

Hey B&B, How the heck are you? I recognize you from the VTCOA right?

Yeah,

I am all over the place.

Good to hear from you
