'68 Coronet Rocker Trim Clips

I am sure this is obvious but how are the plastic clip held into the rocker panel on this car? Are they just popped into rocker and I am just not pulling hard enough?

Those nylon clips are held to the body with little nylon plugs that were driven into the center of the clip. The nylon plug expands the tangs on the clip to hold it to the sheet metal.

To remove them, you can either drill a small hole in the center of the plug and start a screw in it and pull out.....or, you can use a small punch and drive them the rest of the way thru the clip(the plug will fall down inside the car).

Replacement clips/plugs are available if any get damaged and need to be replaced.
