I'm redoing the interior on my 1968 coronet convertible in black and pearl white. Seats and door panels are no problem and I've found several companies that sell new FRONT 9.5"armrest pads and visors in pearl white as well. However I can't for the life of me locate any company that has new rear convertible armrest pads for this application in PEARL white. Does anyone know of a business that would have these or am I going to have to use one of the vinyl paint kits that are available ? Not really wanting to do this as I'm concerned about matching the other pieces as well as it wearing off the pads.

Someone is selling new white one's on Ebay.
At least they were not too ago.
You might check there.

Thank you, but my dilemma is that I'm looking for the Pearl white color armrests. 1968 was the last year that they used this color for interiors then in '69 they went to a true white.

I think they never used pearl on the arm rests.

Pearl trims always had WHITE arm rests. At least for 66 and 67 Coronets.

OK. After doing a little research I think I see the problem and Tekhouse E, you are probably correct. In '66 and '67 the interior panels/seats were offered in a Pearl White but the front and rear armrest pads were only offered in WHITE. This I probably the case for my '68 convertible as well although several companies do offer the visors and front only armrests in a Pearl White color. No-one offers rear convertible armrests in a Pearl White, which doesn't make much sense to me if they have the front ones. Anyway It looks like I'm going the vinyl paint route for the rear pads in Pearl White. She's a restomod so original color on the pads is not required.

I don't think you'll have a problem with wear. I've dyed seat cushions and they held up fine and by way of comparison, rear arm rests will see relatively little use.

I used white arm rests and just because I thought the pearl looks nice I hit each of them with a pearl paint spray pack for Chryslers, it does not in ANY way match the "pearliness" of the door trims. but it has a little of the depth and luster of them, while still being white.

The pearl spraypack sprays an almost clear/pearl paint. SO it has hardly any color. I test sprayed on a darker material, and it most definitely did not turn that white. So hardly any pigment in the paint at all.

I wonder if that's the same for my 65 coronet. Pearl white interior too.

and let's see some pics of the 68 paulie-rt.
