Trying to figure out a fair value for a 68 Gtx hood. It's not an air grabber hood but is in really excellent condition from what i can tell. Includes hood inserts and plymouth lettering on the front edge. One more question. Would this hood fit on a 69 Satellite? I know it's not correct but i like the look of these hoods. Thanks

The hoods are basically the same for 68 and 69 Plymouths. Style of the 2 "slats" with engine callouts changed but will fit either year. Easy to switch should you want the right ones on your 69.

I see them selling in the $300 range assuming all the understructure and nose is rust free. Rust is becoming very common on used ones that are floating around.

Two weeks ago I went after a 69 flat hood. "Rust free". He meant there was no extra charge for all the pin holes in the nose.

The 68 GTX hood had no openings under the decorative vents so it's a one year only hood.
To add insult to injury, there are two 1968 hoods! An early model with the hood safety latch
in a different spot than the late model. You can't make it work unless you have the correct
sheet metal piece that matches the position of the latch!

Sorry, Yes, it will fit on a 69 Sattelite provided the latches line up. That means the hood is a
late 68 model and the 69 has the correct cross brace that matches the latch.

Good to know. Thanks
