68 gtx with 440 6 pack

about to bite the bullet on ordering a 6 pack setup for my 68 gtx and just had a thought, is it gonna all fit under my stock hood?

it will fit fine. i had a 69 GTX with a 440-6 in it.

Hood clearance is not the issue but rather the windshield wiper motor. If you have the flat 3 speed motor no issues, but the two speed that sticks out will require you trim the air cleaner base.

I too am putting an RB with a six pack in a 69 RR, and yes, the stock six pack setup will fit without modification as long as you have the 3 speed wiper motor. And to take your question one step further it will fit with the air grabber.

when I bought my 68 GTX it had a 6 pack set up and it fit just fine!!!!!!!

it's actual quite clean on the inside, need to be bore as it has a lip, but no sludge in sump no crap on pistons, the only problem with the engine (other then the lip) is number 7 right hand side push road is bent. However no damage was done, due to lip i am rebuilding the engine.

You might want to switch the valve covers from side to side when you're putting it back together, it'll make the breather hose fit better.
Six Packs are cool in any condition!
