What is the total width of a stock fan blade for a 68 roadrunner with a 383? How many blades? The previous owner of my car installed a C Body radiator. The 18” fan is 1” away from the passenger side edge, 3” from the driver’s side. I now have in hand the correct 22” radiator and shroud. It appears the fan blade will hit the shroud on the passenger side.

Turn the shroud 180°. The engine is offset towards the passenger side.

I guess that’ll work it’ll still clear the bottom hose. I’ll send back this new radiator I just bought.

That does not appear to be the correct radiator for a big block. Top hose should be on the opposite side of the tank, which leads me to believe that you may have the wrong shroud too. Not an authority here, I have an aluminum aftermarket 26" radiator with out shroud, Hemi '69 Road Runner, maybe do some more research.
Hopefully someone else will jump in here.

The fan, spacer, and shroud use information for the 383 high performance engine in a 1968 Road Runner is as follows:

Maximum Cooling with Air Conditioning18.572.5Thermal clutchYes262898069

NOTE: Radiator 2949053 is a service replacement for 2898043 and 2898045.

NOTE: Shroud used with 22” radiator 2898045 with 440 B-body (GTX or R/T). Different shrouds were used in 22” six cylinder B-body and six or eight cylinder C-body applications.

That is not the correct shroud for a 1969 big block. The shroud will be a "plastic" one, 1968 and earlier used the steel shrouds.

Okay, if you say so, but I believe that they are both wrong.

Just asking, why are there two different radiators? My A Body is on the driver's side, my B Body is on the passenger side. Or is it the 26" radiator?

22" radiator was fairly standard... '68 / 69 x 383 B bodies. My '69 Bee is a #'s car, including the radiator being an 053 in '69. The OP has the correct 043 or 045 for his '68 Road Runner.

Just went through about 20 MCG magazines, saw two drivers side outlet radiators, they must be the 22". So the 26" radiator must be the passenger side outlet , seemed to be the most common. Pkg option probably dictated which one was used. Anyway, apologies to the OP, I was wrong, learned something today!

Hey, something worked out! Glad that worked for you!
