Has anyone tried to restore 68 Roadrunner shoulder belts where the belts are in fine condition but the elastic that is attached to the end of the belt (and snaps in place above the rear window at headliner to hold when it's not in use) has deteriorated and needs replacement?

I have a complete new set for a 68 roadrunner with bucket seats, pm me if interested

thanks ... mine is bench seats

Don't know if this company can help, but I bought an entire seat belt set for my Road Runner from them. Great people.

i like things on a budget so i went to joann fabrics store bought the correct width black elastic and the snap kit. then had my mom (an accomplished seamstress) sew it together for me. came out pretty good.

Thanks Vermont Rock ... I did look at the website you gave me.

Thanks mac! That's the kind of fix I was thinking about. In fact I was thinking about trying joann, then found some elastic at Walmart (I think it's about an inch wide), but have not tried anything more. Did you reuse the original snaps (I don't know if they are reusable) or replace them? Is the kit just a tool to attach the snaps? Also, it looks like you would need a heavy duty sewing machine to attach the elastic to the end of the belt.

Possible. want to add shoulder belts to my 69, and now want to see pics of your seats as well. What are you thinking for price?
