Picked up this 68 satellite awhile for my dad. he had a bunch of 68 and 69 roadrunners when he was young. I'm planning on just running a a 383 and 727 that I had built bout 5 years ago now and its just been sitting since. I picked up a disc brake kit for the front off a big bolt pattern dart. When the weather warms back up I'm going sand it down and get it in some primer then paint it Hawaiian beige butterscotch color. I wanna get a six pac hood and I still need to get a drivers fender. That or go with some fiberglass fenders. I missed a deal on a set of them twice now. oh well. But this is goin be a bit slower of a build. I got other projects goin on and I'm bout to change jobs which is goin to cut into my free time that i had with my current job. And I'm trying to only buy thing when i come across them as awesome deals, because well I'm cheap.

Nice satellite. Are you going to make it look like a RR or just make it a beautiful satellite. Like those bodies no matter what they are.

welcome to FBBO and good luck with the sateliite. love the round side marker lights.

Whether you're "cheap person" or not when you get this thing on the road it'll all be worh it, even if you only spend 1/10th the amount others do.
Good luck & have fun!!

great project. I had one similar to that a few years back. hunted for deals, horse traded, bit by bit it came together.

Well the current plan is to find a trim panel that goes on the trunk ( i don't think i have one but will have to check and see what all he has laying around for it). Shave off any other badges that are on it and I'm a really big fan of black steel wheels. Still undecided on which hood I want to go with. I have a satellite hood and I will either go with that or a 6pac hood. Slow and steady is what I'm goig to try and do.
