69 bee

have a couple of questions about a 69 bee i'm buying. The first is the color, It's red now but original is T5 body and T7 upper door. any one know these colors? the second is, the quarters have been replaced and the lip of the wheel opening is like an inch wide, any ideas? Thanks :eusa_think:

My R/T has Yearone quarters and they are about an inch or so wide. The Chinese manufacturers make them too wide, maybe the metric to English conversion confuses their little fingers

did you trim them or leave it? I'm just wondering if it takes away from the value and the looks. With there little fingers you would think it would be smaller. Must of been one of the tall ones!

I bought the car with the wider lips. The panels look great, but I will have them trimmed in the future.

OOOH YEAH your in the same boat as me. My 69 RR was over sprayed a crappy red over it's original T5 which is bronze fire metallic.

I am hoping in a couple of years to get her stripped down and done right all in T5. Already have the engine bay done since we did a motor swap.

Damn! that's a sweet color! I've never seen a car that color before. I wonder how many were produced. The car I'm buying looks just like yours, color, hood but of course a bee. how funny is that. I may just get it painted right after i get it, I bet it looks bad *** in the sun! :headbang:

T5 and T7 cars can be stunning. They are 'classy' colors.
