I am looking to get to work on my Dash Harness and I was wondering about my options. It's still installed at the moment and I believe that it is the original harness. The wiring needs tidying up as it looks like abit of a Mess under the steering column. Is it best to replace/refurbish the whole thing or buy a Harness upgrade kit and would this work just as well?

That's a great question. I've seen both arguments: 1. replace it all, you don't want to trust your car to 50+ year old wiring, and 2. Unless it's full of splices or visibly in bad shape, just use the original wiring. Given the $1000+ for new nose to tail harnesses, I've opted to leave the original dash harness on mine for the time being, just cleaning all the contacts and connections and replacing the ammeter gauge with a new one since I read the new ones are rated to a higher capacity than the originals. That might not be true, but clean contacts and a new gauge seemed like a good idea to me. The lighting harness in my car, on the other hand, is clearly needing replacement - brittle wires and broken connections. I think it's a case by case basis.

The last 2 Mopars I bought ,I replaced the dash harness on them,my Bee has all new wires. M&H is the way to go. Wait for YearOne discount and buy ,but call and make sure they have it in stock. Waited 6 months on my challenger harness.

All depends on the condition of the existing. I just replaced the bulkhead connector and all the wiring ends cut and recrimped..

Is the M&H Harness the same as the Classic Industries one? What's the part ref for the Year one Harness

There is only one.. M&H. Sales rights belong to Year One. Classics buys FROM Year One... so whom ever has the best price and discount in effect...
