Sorry if this has been answered, but i searched and searched and couldn't find an answer.

In short, when the key is turned to the on position the fuel gauge sweeps up, and then returns to empty.

NEW: Wiring harness, gauge, regulator, sending unit.
sending unit is grounded directly to the chassis.

Originally the gauge didn't work. tested the gauge in the car and it failed. took the cluster out and bench tested it and it failed. Replaced fuel gauge and regulator.

Reinstalled gauge and it still read empty. sender measured 75 ohms with a half tank. Replaced sender and new ground.

Now its doing what its doing.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Voltage limiter on the cluster starting to go south.
