Is this the way the grill is supposed to look? It looks like it should be out further then that, not showing so much of the inside of the fender. I can't see any adjustments to move it.

Just looked at hunt2elk's resto on page 8 and it looks like he has the same space on his grille and inside fender. Not to familiar with the charger's myself, but if everything else lines up I would say that is where it is supposed to be. If you try to mount it forward more, than I would think there would be a gap that would not look right then. Maybe check out some other pictures on here of other's resto's and maybe in the for sale section.

It looks to me like the trim might add allot more to it judging by the angle of it, looks like I'll have to buy it pretty soon so I'll know. Thanks

when the trim is on, it's pretty even. there is no adjustment.

Might as well add my 2 cents. The C-trim adds about 1/2"

Your 2 cents are always welcome. That looks like what I thought it should fit like, 1/2 probably won't get mine there. When my grill is bolted in the top edge is even with the front of the metal brace on top (they are even) is that correct? I'll be pulling it off soon to finish up the front end and would like to correct anything that needs corrected right now. I should add that I repaired some of the broken mounts on it but I used the broken pieces as patterns and they all line right up even with the ones that weren't broken. I'll look at my bent up trim and see if it's good enough to at least give me a clue. Thanks guys

Yours looks to be about the same as mine. You are right that there is very little adjustment for this. I was planning on pushing it as far forward as it will go and then with the trim on it shouldn't be to bad. My grill support is original to the car, so I think thats the way it was. I don't think it will be far from Mr. Craniums' fine 68.

Yeah, I'd be happy if it looked like Mr Craniums. If I have any problems I thought about fudging the nut clip holes in the plastic a little.

where it is on ur car 747 is correct the trim does make up a bit of space

you could shim it right? are some washers or shims missing perhaps? sorry i've never worked on a charger

You can't shim it out front & back unless you drill new holes....and you don't want to do that. Just put the moldings on and you will be fine. That's what it's designed for.

I have nothing to contribute but love to see close-up shots of these beautiful cars.
