Here are the details that I know of. 1969 Dodge Charger, numbers matching 383 and 727 trans (together but out of the car). The car has been totally taken apart.
I have all of the sheet metal (fenders and doors are on the car now) I also received TWO complete front grilles ( hideaway head lights) They are in prefect shape.
It is not an R/T (don't think so). All of the original parts are with the car. I came from the factory painted Met. Gold with a white vinyl top and black interior.
Frame rails need a very small repair in front. The whole interior is there, dash, seats..ect. Not an A/C car. Shifter and console (on the floor) is all there. The car was all together when the guy purchased it 4 years ago, he took it apart to restore it and found out it was going to take took much time to put it all back together. Now he has no interest in it and wants to sell it. The sheet metal has no rust (or maybe a spot or two). Best I can tell it all there.
I am picking it up over the weekend, so I will post pic's then.
Any idea what its worth..I know it's a loaded question without pic's, but it's a start.
Thanks for helping out!

It's completely taken apart? As in an enormous pile of metal pieces, parts, glass, everything? How much did you pay for it?

The grill itself is worth $500.00 if it is perfect like you say. Look those frams rails over really close, they usually rott from the inside out so the only visible rott is what has come all the way threw, more of it is likely rusted thin. No worries, you can buy new ones. Great cars, congradulation

For a total "Basket Case" 69 Charger, 383ci 727tf, For a good accurate price in reality, we really need quality photos & then even, to make a ball park guess & that's all it would be... Good luck & hopefully you get it cheap, hopefully all the proper parts are there, especially all the little parts & trim, also hopefully not to much hidden rust issues, especially a car from the North East...

I am getting it on Sunday, so I will take pictures and post them.

Keep In Mind A 69 Charger Is Very Disirable
A 383 Car To Me Thats A Plus.
Cant Wait To See The Pics.

it depends on how boxes and crates it came in, price per pound , just kidding, congrats, post those pictures up when can :hello2:

I always pass on cars that are disassembled. I keep hearing cars are complete, then when you go into reassembly mode you start finding out there's a ton of stuff missing. Connectors, screws, bolts, panels, covers, lots and lots of little stuff that you have to replace and that starts ringing up the cash register quick as a flash. Then when you call the previous owner to ask where this and that is, you start hearing tales of maybe a box or two was thrown out by mistake, lost during garage cleaning, driven over and destroyed, etc.

Whatever you paid, you better set aside a grand or two extra to pay for all the stuff that's supposed to be there but isn't.

Bruz is speakin with fork-ed tongue not. Stuff like that adds up real quick especiall on the 68 and 69 cars cause not everybody repops everything so you have to find something used. ...and people know what that stuff is worth.

My 74 Road Runner was partly disassembled when I bought it, and was missing the interior and the front clip. The owner said he would reinstall everything because "it was all there" and I told him I would buy it once it was reassembled. He told me he had a complete interior minus the kick panels and front seats.

When I went to get the car I found out there were a few other interior pieces missing... like sun visors, head liner trim, the headliner, rear window trim, seat belt cover panels (74 only), sail panel covers, A pillar covers, dash ash tray, carpet, package tray, two headliner struts, and all the bolts, screws, and other nick knacks needed to put everything back together. Good thing the body was in great shape, the engine ran great, and the price was excellent.

I paid $2k for a 72 cuda in similar condition about 5 years ago. Honestly I couldn't see paying much more than that for a car that is in pieces.

No matter how careful you are stuff magically disappears..... now where the hell is that wrench I just had????

I drug this home a few years back. had new 1/4s on it. everything else was either junk or MIA.I had 20 years of stock from parts cars, plus a complete drivetrain(engine, trans, rad, clutch ste up,nuts bolts, screws, etc) The biggest plus in the deal was I traded a buddy a 383/727 that another buddy had given me. If I had to buy all the little stuff it would have been a major headache.

OK here are 2 quick pictures I took...maybe now someone will tell me a price.charger1.jpgcharger2.jpg

I also found out that the trans and engine are numbers matching and so is the rad support. I also received a rebuilt 440 with a 727 trans as part of the deal. Almost all of the parts that came off it are with the car. It came with 2 complete rear quarters. The front fenders are the factory ones. The fender tag is about 90%, some is rusted away. Found about a 1" peice of the broadcast sheet...mice got to it.
The car was Bronze Met. with Tan Interior and a black vinyl roof. At some point he changed it to blue and black interior. Once I get more pictures I will post them.
Do you think it's worth 1k....2k....3k??????????????????
