Hey everyone!

My 69 coronet is laid up again.....
Brake issues are on their way to being addressed but repair shop now advises that the front right hub assembly needs work
It seems that when the tire is put on and the lugs are tightened 4 out of 5 spin slightly when bottoming out
These are new studs I had pressed into the original hubs with new drums
I know my brake problems caused some excess heat build up but the rears were always worse than the fronts
The way I remember the hub going together I cannot fathom how the studs could ever spin in those knurled holes unless the studs were bad or a massive amount of torque was
applied to them

3 questions.....
Where can I get a replacement hub if needed?
What parts are interchangeable with other years/models?
What disc brake conversion should I consider for replacing fronts with 14 inch a ansen sprint ET IV rims?

Thanks....happy Sunday...go Blackhawks!

I just got a wheel stud from pep boys to try out. It may work. It doesn't look like it will bite into the drum like the old ones.

You could do this; using a punch, peen the knurled section of the stud around its circumference. Then coat the hub hole and the stud with red loc-tite, and put the studs back in. The punch marks will make the stud diametrically larger, and the loc-tite will aid in retaining it and preventing it from spinning. As an added measure, you could tack weld the stud heads inside of the hub.

I have good used hubs if you need one PM me
