Is it on a metal tag attached to the springs..? I think that is just an interior trim code for the seat frame..... 69 hardtop. The build sheet might be found between the seat spring and burlap, Be gentle if you find it.

I found a metal tag on the back of the front seat.No build sheet yet.

Code is wrote with a black magic marker on metal frame that back seat mounts to. Front seat passenger side has a metal tag behind panel.

It's a common oddity found on 69 STL built cars like yours. Here's mine. I read a thread one time where people were speculating it may have something to do with finishing the paint or interior trim.

Code is wrote with a black magic marker on metal frame that back seat mounts to. Front seat passenger side has a metal tag behind panel.

Codes written like that are often seen on these old cars but to the best of my knowledge no one has ever been able to make any corrolation as to what they are for. The question has been asked many times before.
