Need to remove the wiper arms from 69 Coronet parts car - where is the "magic tab" on these. FSM mentions the "special tool", which I don't have. What's the "quick & dirty" way? I'm working in a garage with no lights, so it's hard to see. Thanks in advance!

Look at the bottom of the arm where it goes on the post and you'll see a release tab. Quick and dirty method? I've used a claw hammer to lift it before but you had better use something solid to protect the car because you're going to pull it up like you're pulling out a nail....and getting some penetrating oil up in it before you go at it won't hurt none....

Door trim removal tool with an angle works to.....Or just go spend the $4.99 or so at most auto stores and buy a wiper arm removal tool. Like cranky said, be sure to back it up with something. Pretty easy way to put dents or scatches in your cowl if you don't.

Got them off, thanks for the help.
FYI - the wiper arm tools are next to impossible to find in the local parts stores around here
