Air cleaner assembly for sale.
I bought the air cleaner in 1984 and used it for about 300 miles (on my ’67 GTX). It was just too big, so I put an unsilenced one in its place and this has been in my garage ever sense.
Actually I think car ran better with it, opposed to the ’69 unsilenced one did – but have no numbers to prove it.
I was told this came off of a 440, when I bought it (not knowing there was any difference between it and a 383), but after measuring it last night, it is for a 383.
It was painted just before I bought it (in 1984 or before) and not been touched sense (until I wiped the dust off of it now).
Note: part is not perfect, but with a good paint job - it will look outstanding.
My brother swiped my original filter about twenty years ago (or so), so I bought a pair of filters (which was not cheap).
Both filters have 0 miles on them.
I would like to get $400 (US) for the cleaner and both filters (including shipping (in 48 states)) or $325.00 (US) for cleaner and one filter (including shipping).
If paying by PayPal, then it would be $412.00 (or 334.50 for single filter) after freight to lower 48 states. Will take check or cash as well. Maybe a trade could be considered.
I don't mind shipping elsewhere – but freight will be more.
I'm welcome to talk figures via PM's if one wishes.
The price of both filters is about ½ the price of this package!
I struggled for a long time about selling it - but wife put her foot down, saying it (or I) goes.
Part is currently at my residence in Oklahoma City.
