were the push buttons on the exterior door handles for a 69 GTX black or chrome??

Well, that is a good Question.Because I own a 1969 roadrunner and it had blackbutton...Which I still have if your looking for any..When i restored my car I went for a new chrome handles and chrome button..I think when they came down the line they put on what ever they had...

Depends on the build date of the car. I had a survivor 69 GTX built 8/68 and it had the black buttons

I agree. 'Early' (Sept - Dec?) black. 'Late' (Dec? - July) chrome.

My early Nov STL built Coronet has black.

There would be a transition at each plant but I do not know the dates. Research continues.....

A friend bought a new 70' Cuda, and it had a Challenger horn button. I worked in a Plymouth dealer, in the seventies, and saw very few mistakes like this. But the Plymouth van and Plymouth Blazer equivalent, both came through with Dodge badging at times.

Doubt if this helps but I have a 68 GTX and the buttons are chrome. Don't know if or why they would have changed them for a 69.
